We’re inviting you to join us for one of Cardiff’s largest celebration for Beaujolais Day! Held on Thursday, 17th November from 12pm, we’ll be back at the Madeira Restaurante, Cardiff. This will be our eighth celebration, so it’s going to be a good one!
Beaujolais Nouveau has always been celebrated, but only locally. The wine is a celebration of the first of the season. The wine is a fresh and fruity fermentation process that ends with a tasty, clean wine. Obviously, due to the speed of production, the wine isn’t the best quality but is celebrated all the same.
In the 1970’s, a fantastic marketing strategy was introduced where it became a race to see who could get the first bottles to Paris – this attracted massive media attention and so the popularity of Beaujolais Day grew to the 4 corners of the world. Today, it’s a race to get the first bottles to different markets around the globe.
By the time Beaujolais is drawing to a close, it is thought that over 65 million bottles of wine, nearly half of the region’s total annual production, will be distributed and drunk around the globe. That’s a lot of red wine!
Last year’s event was packed to the rafters and besides the obvious networking opportunities, it’s a terrific social event to be a part of! You’ll enjoy a champagne reception, an authentic 2 course meal with half a bottle of Beaujolais wine, well it is a celebration after all! The party will then continue over at the Chapel 1877 Bar, Cardiff from 5pm.
Members can enjoy all this for only £29.95 + VAT and non-members are also welcome to come along for £34.95 + VAT. If you’d like to book a place, you can call the Introbiz team on 02920 291002 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
